Other World, Volume 2: Malronce (Paperback)

Customer Review

I relished resuming reading this tome 2 just as captivating as the first. After the storm that tipped the world, Pans (children and teenagers) are organized into groups, see the city and learn to master their daily "powers" which they now have. Indeed, the storm seems to have also acted on the physical and psychic abilities based on individual needs. Moreover, a theory that the Earth itself is the cause of everything starts to sprout in the minds. We find our three heroes in their quest for truth and face a thousand and a danger. At their kit, a strange creature called the Raupéroden, a spectrum formless face ghostly dragging behind him a raging storm and Queen Malronce, fierce preacher, religious fanatic believer invested with a divine mission since she woke after the storm on a strange stone table. She is the queen of "Cyniks" (adults who survived the "storm" without mutate, and totally amnesic of their lives "before"). Both Matt stalk for reasons that we, readers, do not know yet. To understand this relentlessness, the alliance of the three will have to rally the South, the queen of country. For this, they will cross the blind forest, an ocean of tall trees as populated mountains of big monsters like buildings and strange creatures: the Kloropanphylles, the Pans who like them but as "merged" with nature and protecting an incredible secret. It was with great difficulty that they will reach the first cities Cyniks, Babylon and his terrible "Innocence Drinker" Henok the underground city is protecting "Shadow Eaters" and the distance, and Wyrd'Lon-Deis the red sky, land of the Queen. Our heroes hope to finally find answers to their questions and we also: Why is Matt sought with as much greed? What is the "quest skins"? Will they survive the cruelty of adults determined to kill or enslave all Pans? What really are the Scararmés these beetles billion red or blue tirelessly following the same route? Finally, I can not tell you more because it is up to you to read this book ... Between suspense, adventure, romance and drama, one never tires of following the fantastic and frightening journey of these three teenagers nothing seems able to stop.
