The book is full of humor. It features the same Lulu, who has always lots of character (or even bad temper!) Even though it has improved somewhat since the episode of Brontosaurus and the lessons it has learned. When the small neighbor, Fleishman, he is perfect: nice polite well mannered intelligent. Too perfect, so perfect that annoys everyone, starting with Lulu which is easily excited.
The author always occurs in the middle of the story to comment in an aside that it is writing (with a comic effect guaranteed). She knows how to raise the suspense about what Lulu wants to end and what she will do. The duet with Fleishman is often very funny. Lulu improve somewhat in late recognizing that it was not nice to Fleishman.
No 3 for the choice, as in the first volume (which has a little disappointed my daughter), but there are other comic devices and fireworks. This book may well be read without having read the first volume. The story is independent (there is just a pair of references to the Brontosaurus who taught Julie to be less temperamental) and can be attacked by this volume if desired.
