Positives:
+ The developers have done a good job, what graphics, soundtrack, etc. terms. Because you can absolutely not fault
+ It has just about all the main characters are the so far occurred in Shippuuden. From the plot, attention is about to Pain or Killerbee
+ The characters were very well done and master their individual attacks. Generally, it looks pretty cool as the characters move, say Dodge, Ultimate jutsu, Kunai throwing etc.
+ You can set the Japanese voice-overs, the English are not for everyone ...
+ The fighting itself, a lot of fun! Whether online or whether you sit in pairs on a console.
+ The boss fights are also well done. I am not a fan of Quick-Time-Events, but itself was the whole thing nice.
+ Finally, there is an online mode
yes and now unfortunately gehts already going on, we come to the negative things.
Negatives:
- I personally do not need 4 Naruto characters and no 3 Sasuke because I would have preferred one or the other character of the filler episodes desired such as: Guren!
- The main menu offers a not necessarily a lot of choices. I would have still required a function where I statues, pictures, possibly also could unlock the odd background for my PS3 me. At least the PS2 Naruto parts had a library or the like.
The only thing you can unlock new maps and are nicknamed for the online mode ... small consolation.
- The Story mode (Ultimate Adventure) I'm so (as a fan of the series) hurt .... While the boss fights, as already mentioned above, awesome, but the plot is so compressed that it just hurts.
The dialogues and videos are in many places just chopped off too much and act lifeless, not to compare with the series. The only place where one has left more time is after the fight against Itachi.
- In some places the plot is even minimally changed: So Jiraiya sends no frog lot of needs to be decrypted; Asuma fights in the forest against Hidan etc.
Although all small things, as a fan, it still bothers me.
- The side quests are pretty boring.
- The whole rumgelaufe annoying in the long run. While it is at the beginning very nice to race through Konoha but after 2 hours, one wonders what should be the whole at all. In particular, the routes are quite short and act in my opinion totally illogical, for example: leave Konoha, runs through a forest which is about 15 meters long, crosses then a "desert", the estimated amounts to 18 meters and you are in Sunagakure.
If you want to show the world of Naruto, then you could have done that a little more extensive. At least this would be no problem, if you look at the current performance of a console.
- The entire collection of materials / herbs / weapons is not only annoying but also boring .... unfortunately it is needed for the trophy.
- Although I am glad that there is the online mode, but in itself looks almost every fight the same. Had 120 fights until now and the approximately 70% of the cases I have fought against Minato, Sasuke or Naruto. Ok, Naruto and Sasuke there are different forms and these are indeed the protagonists of the series and that makes them turn very popular with many players, but just annoying when you get to constantly see only the same characters.
However, it is much worse that they are enormously powerful. One can each character, with every other character defeat, but if you "awakening" of Naruto with eg: Neji's "awakening" compares, you will notice very quickly the difference.
In a nutshell: Any idiot can win if he controls Naruto, to say nothing of Minato but this had always been a special case.
I am aware that it in all games, characters are perhaps can do more damage than others, but most of these have then deficits in other areas such as the speed or the like.
Conclusion: By itself, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 a very successful Naruto game. Fans of the series will love the game and (probably) to overlook the weak story mode. In contrast, classic beat 'em up fans will be disappointed as there are no shortcuts a la Street Fighter, Tekken, etc. contains.
Newcomers in the Naruto universe should initially view the anime or manga / read. As mentioned above, the story mode is in my opinion, not necessarily instructive.
