Of course you should first know what you want. I originally wanted a fast camera, with min. 10x zoom with great picture quality. These criteria fit well the Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 or Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30. After I had tried both in the store, I was excited and inclined to Sony. A really good consultant has then pointed out to me that cheese is actually impersonate any digicam 400 euros (average price of Sony). The Panasonic captures even only at at 450 euros. I make it 100 euros, I get a passable Dig. SLR, for example. The Canon EOS 350 D.
The main problem with the above-mentioned models was the size for me.
It's indeed a lot of fun to take pictures with it, also the results are outstanding. Eventually, however, the lug is troublesome.
So I changed my ideas and I swung around on a Kompaktcam. Because of the shorter distance to the Spiegelreflexcams, it makes no sense in my opinion, more than 250 - spending 300 euros.
The other requirements were speed, ease of use, good image quality (especially in low light in rooms) and the price.
Here I had the Casio Exilim EX Z600. Since the Z700 is the successor model in which simply extends the Best Shot function, the image quality and the Mpix were increased to 7 million.
In these disciplines unbeatable! In particular, the Best Shot functions are a great help. These offer a wide variety of settings for Landscape, Portrait, etc. A total of 40 pieces and you can even add some. Even images without flash in bad light turn out well before the raushat, one must first rumexperimenteren - Enable 800 and the anti-shake - best ISO to auto or 400.
One can also use the Best Shot function "High Sensitivity".
The flash is good ausdefiniert and also provides short-range good pictures. The colors look tired. The Price btw. 220 and 270 euros is also outstanding!
The competitor to this cam with the respective "excretion reasons":
Fuji Finepix F30: poor usability - Main menu / submenu / submenu (HELP!), Also partly incomprehensible.. That there is a mile long instructions to her on the net, says it all ... This has anyone written, who has bought the Cam. In addition, it does not look particularly good, is clunky and poorly processed.
IXUS 800 IS: picture quality maybe a touch better, but too expensive (from 300 euros)
Ricoh Caplio R5: excessive noise, probably because Zoom (7x) and M-pixel (7 million) to each other too closely. As I had been told and also notice that is not ideal for a cam in a compact format.
Alternatives:
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1: image quality is not quite as good, but 10x zoom, the way images in 16: 9 format! The Cam is a bit clunky, so you can not necessarily belong to the compact. Rates from 270 euros
Conclusion: Anyone looking for a small (cheap) Compact, is well advised with the Exilim Z700. The IXUS 800 IS is an alternative, however, just more expensive.
