Style mix of funk, rap, blues, jazz and a little soul

Y'akoto has a great voice, full volume, rather deep, sometimes very melodic. On some pieces, this is very good effect (Tonight, What makes you strong). Of this I would have liked more.

But many pieces are exploited very thin and sound almost improvised (jazz style). Y'akoto speaks more than she sings. These pieces are not enough for me melodic (Body Movements, Moving, Drunk or high, sitting round the table, Truth).

Often one can no longer speak of soul, in my view. A total of four good, soulful pieces and 11 other (more challenging). Before buying you should hear both types, so you will not be disappointed.
