Use and handling:
First I have to say again that my standard Toothbrush Oral-B is a TriZone 7000. Although this is an electric, but no sonic toothbrush.
I have already used years ago a sonic toothbrush a known discounter and could use this for a short time because the tickling was unbearable and I could not get used to it.
When Philips Sonicare is discussed in the manual on this tickling, what I really think is good, because with my first experience at that time I was totally surprised that this should be so. Philips offers a familiarization mode for those who use a sonic toothbrush for the first time and where this is tickling too much at the beginning. Here pressing two seconds the on / off button and the vibrations can not be felt in full measure, since it is switched to a lower power.
At my first Sonicare application I felt the teeth cleaning nevertheless be very unpleasant. Partly already towards thrills at the tooth root. I could not imagine that the seriously ameliorating should me. After three days the tickling was actually hardly noticed by me. I continue to use the settling mode, but realize every day how it gets better. After another seven days the tickling was actually no longer a problem.
While applying the Sonicare has a timer function which by interrupting the vibration reminded one every 30 seconds that the jaw quadrant should be changed. After two minutes the toothbrush switches off automatically. I found this a pity during the first applications because it took me by the acclimatization (special attitude of the toothbrush and Co equal to read more) a little longer to clean and therefore had to switch on the toothbrush again. But the borders anyway to wail at a high level.
The brush head:
The brush head has led me to wonder. He does not have straight brush head, but the bristles are at the center to a point. The angle of this peak is about 45 °. The toothbrush is consequently also maintained at 45 ° to the teeth for cleaning. This angular position of the sonic toothbrush while brushing causes you sometimes with the brush head comes to the teeth, which is obviously not so great feels. But since doing exercise then its good. Even holding the toothbrush in this particular angle calls for a huge change. I think that should not be any different for someone who uses a manual toothbrush.
Brushing modes and cleaning effect:
Personally, I must confess that the different brushing modes appeal to me, as a rule not particularly. I want to clean my teeth in two minutes, rinse and therefore do not think so much of modes in different vibrational states. In the application I have these not very convincing. As for the teeth cleaning, so the Sonicare maintains, however, what it promises. The teeth feel clean and well maintained.
Battery:
I had the toothbrush for a week with in Venice. Although I had the charging cable (matching travel case) usually occupied with this, but the outlets in the bathroom were other things. The crux of the matter is that I have come easily without recharging over the week. Longer I of battery life but have paid no attention, since it is rarely the case that one is so long dependent on the battery.
Conclusion:
The brushing will now represent no more problems. With the brush head but I still could not get used as much myself. I feel the plaster surface to be very low and also the position in which the brush head slides over the teeth is not really my case. After all, however, opens up to me now slowly the reason this degree position. I suspect that as the pads and leftovers in the gingival approach from the gum away to be cleaned. Making a difference to my conventional electric toothbrush so far I could not find in the way.
The toothbrush convinces with its flush-effect and the battery performance. The design is appealing though preferable for the female population.
