Technical impression:
Since I was unsure, I have the Panasonic EW1031 looked at me in addition that can be had for half the price. Aside from a few extra features when Pulsonic both do the same, but are technically constructed differently: In the Panasonic a small electric motor with eccentric potters comparable to the vibration alarm in mobile phones. This varies the oscillation frequency depending on the charging status. The Oral-B has an electromagnetic oscillator similar to speakers. The frequency is therefore always constant; almost empty battery, the amplitude (rash) slightly. Fully charged, the brush head suggests a total of about 1 mm in the axial direction.
The sound of the Pulsonic drowned easily my Badventilator and roughly corresponds to the low C (measured 260 Hz). This means, however, the brush head makes only 15,600 full swing cycles per minute. With the specified 31200 vibrations are thus semi-oscillations / movements per minute meant - a bit misleading.
The charger works contactless (inductive) and consumes 3.0 watts during charging. Without handset or with fully charged battery no measurable power is consumed (without transformer secondary coil).
