As mentioned by the previous speaker, the 1/3 of the book rather an introduction how to read texts in TOEFL properly.
My tip here skips the whole, makes up the central part one problem and then flies over the midsection. Then you know exactly whether you exactly whether you even have problems and what exactly is meant in this part.
The last part of the book is a Uebungstest. Here Needless to say a lot. It is worthwhile to make this in any case, but I have to say that the level of this test is only about 90% of the original levels. I did this test on time and had not yet in Reading Speaking in part an error. This was in my opinion it is clear that this Uebungstest. In real TOEFL I sometimes sas since and could not clearly say what the right answer is, despite understanding of the issue and of the text. But this should probably only play a role if you like aspire more than 100 points.
Now the interesting part: in the middle of the book will be presented to you each task type. This works this book is also very good. After this part, you know exactly what to expect, where their weaknesses have and how best to solve these tasks.
For all TOEFL novices a shorter overview you have to do everything for tasks:
a) Reading: you read a text and answer questions. All variations of these questions are included in this review. The only thing you can come here in the way, is your English or not very clear question.
b) Listening: You hear a conversation Each / lecture and answered any questions: Again, the book is quite sufficient. Should you good at English, you will have to answer the questions can not be a problem.
c) Writing: You must write 2 essays. Here you can not help much this book unfortunately. Although there are a few tips included, but everyone writes differently and there is no unique solution. The tips in the book are Schreibanfaenger ok. I personally found it a little lean. Also recommended ETS and this book is a Textlaenge of about 250-300 words. I have written here 600 words. You can indeed times to try as you can squeeze an introduction, 3 arguments with examples and a final in 300 words. Unfortunately I can not tell whether 300 words for a very good rating even rich, but I would write something extensive and correct my texts from someone who knows about it here.
d) Speaking: The reason why this book has got me no 5 star and also my worst subsection (26/30 points you get here and have a task usually 60 seconds to say something about it One example would be:. What is your favorite country and why is did so;?... on their thinking a few seconds and give an answer to the problem is not your answer but that you present your answer so adapts that it fits in exactly into these 60 seconds This requires much Fingerspitzengefuehl were here it is important to simulate the whole PC. But what you get with this book is an audio CD that you your Fragevorliest, then you can look at yourself as you stops you the time. I have welcomed me on my cell phone itself, however, this solution due to the many Rumdrueckens not optimal => Who here has trouble should get even an extra book or come up with something else. As you erkaennt my points, I would have also still needed a little more practice, although I each year 2 months in the USA and am much better English than speak, write!
Conclusion: if you already good at English since you enough this book to come by more than 100 points, which for each program should be more than adequate. However, if you want in the 110-120 points range looks that you still get something for Speaking part.
