Have the card bought since I am recently a proud owner of In Ear monitors the Shure SE series. These were by the onboard card of my Lenovo Thinkpads ever heard a noise, surely everyone knows. This should be minimized. After the card arrived, installed Windows 8.1 it independently, but I wanted to install the included drivers for the purpose of the software. Since my laptop has no CD slot, I wanted to download it from the Creative side, but this does not work (the guys seem to have because what linked wrong). So the desktop copy the CD to a USB stick and then install. If everything goes super now, the settings are good, except for the bass, which really has no effect on the audio output (0 equals 100, itself effect). Nevertheless, the noise has become a little less, you want to even less, you have to definitely take up higher-quality sound cards, but not what I wanted. The Map as input I have not tested.
The audio quality is definitely better than that of 1200 euros from 2014. Notebook buy recommendation!
