I myself am a beginner in the world of photography.
With the cell phone I'm rare images, since they usually are not, or are out of focus or simply too little light is available.
The Panasonic has very convinced me.
I wavered between this model and a Canon EOS 650D. Property me then but decided (due to technological change) for the system camera from Panasonic.
The included 14-42mm lens is sufficient for the things that I previously photographed. The many modes have nothing to be desired. Only some are hidden but pretty. The included software is self-explanatory and easy understandable for the layman and usable.
The built-in flash, as with all cameras in this price range in order.
The video function is very good and the recorded sound is convincing.
For me as a beginner the right equipment to get you started in the world of photography (Did I also fit to the book Lumix G5 system Fotoschule fetched)
