It was the surprise Christmas gift from my 8 year old son; he swept all others by its multiple interests. His grip was immediate, almost without the help of adults. V Tech is truly ergonomic and designed for children. We bought a case of another brand for storage. It should also provide for rechargeable batteries and a larger memory card to use it properly. I'm not disappointed at all ... to do over time.
