After I bought the New 3DS XL to me a few weeks ago, I was now time to test the PS Vita, which I've seen only with skepticism. Similar to the 3DS and the Vita has a successful predecessor, unfortunately here, the Vita also for 3 years downhill. Since last year, also the first slim version has now been published and makes the Vita a lot slimmer. In the Bundle an 8GB memory card, and a download code for 10 free games included, which are rather inconsequential except for Little Big Planet. In the box only power supply and a few instructions are otherwise included. A first look at the console reveals good workmanship and a pleasant weight. Only the plastic back feels in your hands a bit cheap on, but this is bearable. The screen is 5 inches tall, so average smartphone size and has a resolution of 960x544, which is not quite in tune with the times, but is still perfectly fine. The first Vita still possessed an OLED display while the Slim on a standard LCD sets. The decor is pretty fast and you end up afterwards directly on the homescreen. Occupied by touch friendly round tiles that have been animated nice. In general, the structure of the different OS of Android or iOS Vita hardly and seems since the release in early 2012 not changed much to have. Technically, the PS Vita is the New 3DS still superior even after 3 years. While the Vita offers 2 real analog sticks, this however does not move nearly as soft as butter just like a real controller, but are somewhat hakelig, also missing the sticks the L3 / R3 buttons. At the top there are only two shoulder buttons, the button layout is otherwise identical to the PS3 controller. A triumph that I could see so far as one big advantage is remote play with the PS4. With my 100,000 Internet line I had no connectivity issues o. Ä., The image quality is despite the lower resolution of the Vita remarkably well and there are no visible artifacts or aberrations. The lack of shoulder buttons are emulated here by the rear surface touch, the touchpad on the PS4 controller by tapping the touch screen. Unfortunately, the Vita has some problems that have led me to return the console back and stay with my 3DS. The main problem is and probably will remain the lack of support from Sony and the associated lack of really special games. The only game which has really been surprised me Tearaway was what apparently also one of the few games that features the Vita really meaningful uses, while most games are mediocre Vita offshoot or various indie games that exist in the same form are also on PS3 and PS4. One by emergent advantage is price loss that has arisen in recent years. Originally cost the Vita times around 300, now there's new equipment for about 150, used as early as the 100, with downward trend. The games cost now almost only 15-30, the 3DS, prices are much higher. The annoying memory cards think they are still in high demand, 32GB for partly still 50-60 is an absolute joke, even if Nintendo can now normal microSD card in New 3DS use. These are things by my opinion, the PS Vita is not worth the money absolutely. The Vita is indeed to continue a super handheld, which the New 3DS on the paper, the water may not be enough, the lack of support but has just made the Vita to the flop and it is now already clear that the Vita in the near future of table will be.
