In the product description is only a reference to the network functionality. Behind it a full-fledged audio Media Player hides with which you can immediately listen to Internet radio when connected to the local Ethernet and DSL router. Are on the home computer / NAS music files and they can be released with the Yamaha selected and reproduced. In paper form only a short manual is enclosed. To program the device completely full on the enclosed CD-ROM manual is necessary. As always, only with high-quality speakers can create a good sound. I use modified JBL TLM12 as a front system and Control1 as Surround. After the first turn you hear - nothing. The individual stages are extremely low noise and distortion. The individual surround sound programs are very clean, the surround decoding from stereo sources works very low distortion. Good solution: by pressing a button you can select "right", then the sound sources are routed directly to the appropriate channels without surround programs (stereo sources such as CD's then L / R, 5.1 sources on L / C / R / LS / RS / SW ). Automatic Toneinmessung using the included microphone is surprisingly good. However, my "music room" with bookshelves and wood flooring / wooden ceiling is acoustically well-damped. The equalization of the individual audio channels is very close to the Dolby specifications for movie theaters (remeasured with pink noise and a Neutrik Minilyzer) In summary, I can only say that value are excellent. The device is fun. Recommended.
