Hello reader comments! This is the first time I left a comment on one of my acquisitions but now I give myself the trouble to join the majority of critics to say that this book is a mine of information for anyone interested in biology vegetable. The illustrations are beautiful. I am herbalist and teacher of botany and have found clear explanations that will allow me to continue sharing my knowledge with passion. The only fault I found to book is philosophical. The authors have the clear will (announced in the intro and throughout the book) to deny intelligence to plants, with great fanfare in quotes if they have not been able to find better term (depending on their philosophy) to express the "genius" of the plant or "strategies" that have developed by cons, of course ... by CHANCE!. Not very scientific stuff. No? Personally, I prefer to leave poetry and even of intelligence to plants and m'insupporte to read comments of human omniscient and yet unable to prove that the humble little plant plan is devoid of soul and intentions ...
