1. Processing
The product has a high optical quality, which is confirmed upon closer inspection. The keys sit tight and do not wobble all about, if you shake the keyboard. The on / off switch on the back maintains its position also held firmly. There are no protruding edges and all items are clean cut (no ausgefranzten edges, which fall after a few hours shavings). Although the dimensions are stated in the item description, the keyboard is extremely narrow and therefore takes on the go away very little space. A trifle then falls but negatively significant: While the flap for the battery compartment closes securely and reliably, has within the position some play and it wobbles a little bit about. But that is no gross shortage, the compartment is sealed!
2. Write
On offer is a flatbed keyboard, ie with flat notebook keys. The pressure point is crisp, which is almost impossible to realize otherwise due to the construction. The size of the keys is perfect for medium-sized hands, but could be problematic for larger hands. The arrangement of additional keys (arrows, old, cmd, fn) has held for a very short time and is designed makes sense in my eyes. After a short acclimatization writing then runs very fast and flowing out of hand. Many special characters are displayed, all further you get through common sense and try using old or Alt + Shift key out quickly (eg shift + 7 = /, alt + 7 = |, Shift + Alt + 7 = \). The rear anti-slip rubbers are very effective, in general, the keyboard can however easily adapt the current seating position.
3. iPad and Software
First, the keyboard with the iPad / iPhone must be paired. All this runs via Bluetooth and is very simple, not even takes a minute. A small blue LED indicates when the connection is established. From this point, the on-screen keyboard is no longer displayed and the Hama keyboard can be used. The iPad supports entirely: whether the system-wide search, Safari, Mail, Pages, Numbers or Keynote. For native iOS apps all special characters are supported. Those who work on the iPad connects to a Windows machine to eg, stumbles most likely of all possible characters. How well the inputs arrive on PC, however, depends on the program you are using. For about 10 euros you get "PocketCloud" and can connect via RDP, VNC and VMware View. This works easily, quickly and almost all inputs are received correctly, even "Copy & Paste". Other programs provide the characters may not be correct, but the keyboard can but nothing. Certain restrictions you have apparently always accept - F5 function keys as I got not yet transferred with PocketCloud.
4. Conclusion
After a short adjustment period can be written very quickly and find all the keys to look in the dark without. iOS directs all entries on to all programs. Special programs that interoperate with other operating systems can be used productively, but you have to choose good and invest again if necessary. I am excited by this keyboard, I can now go to work even without laptop on projects. For forums and Messenger this device is really good. Anyone looking for something in these areas, is hereby very well served!
