It's not like that from various manufacturers (even German companies) to high-quality batteries with Japanese cells for about 20, - Euro get. (For example, the anchor Power Banks, etc.) If this were so, one could indeed speak of a profound Nap by Canon. Also, the battery has a chip, so you do not accidentally operates the battery of another manufacturer in the camera. That would be simply irresponsible and is to my knowledge the most common cause of death in Western Europe.
Also, the battery can not be charged directly in the camera's state-of-the-art, so you can look at this masterpiece of technique when loading at any time.
One can hold so that Canon has done right when the battery G7x everything you could do only right and has so completely secured the goodwill of its customers. That would really not have been necessary, because there is in the area of 1-inch compact cameras to my knowledge no real competition. ;)
Too bad that you can only awarded 5 stars - for 6 would be appropriate here. So please added to my vote yet 5 star it! This masterpiece is really worth every penny and for the price of just 100, - Euro practically a gift!
PS: Maybe there is a certain discrepancy between written and meant. ;)
