Have the chain attached to a small box trees on our doorstep in use and it works perfectly. Sure you can complain that you can not really set the timer, but this merely regulates the switching on the light, and then the chain for 6h to remain and the next day at the same time come back on. For us this is not a problem and therefore perfect product for our purposes.

Even the light is surprisingly natural for LED and warm even if it does not come naturally ran to a conventional lamp.
