I bought this product because I wanted to have wider plates because I have thick hair (shoulder length).
The device is really super! Have not measured the plates treasures but they are approximately 5-6 cm wide. So at least twice as wide as the usual, normal hair straighteners.
It turns the straightener on the On / Off switch. The temperature is then to 190 degrees. With the +/- buttons, the temperature can then be adjusted individually from 150-230 degrees in 10-degree increments.
I myself let the hair air dry only, have natural waves. One should not treat wet hair with straightening irons, as these are more sensitive when wet, which it will probably not contribute to the health of hair.
I had previously a flat iron with about 3cm wide straighteners by Udo Walz, this I used about 7 years and was very happy with it, only the temperature has subsided somewhat with time.
With the new Remington straightener I might need in my hair for 10-15 minutes, which is an absolute plus, if, like me working in shifts and sometimes have to get up at 5 clock.
Pros & Cons:
+ Super Price
+ Good workmanship
+ Hair can be quickly flatten, I must go through a lock at most 2 times, then the hair is smooth thus saving time!
+ Machine heats up within a few seconds
+ Device is handy and easy to use
+ Delivery at me within 3 days
+ Supple, healthy-looking hair, result lasts me a long time (even after sleeping)
Tiny negatives:
-the transport lock brings much that the plates close with my hair straighteners, but the plates are not completely. Well I think that's not a big deal
-The Plates close even when you press the device together, not completely! Below they are indeed each other backwards Connect but only if you turning a blind fixed! (So there are only a few millimeters, but still it should be mentioned) For me it is "do not care" because I have pretty thick hair and smoother anyway completely closes. Affected me in any way the (great!) Result, but there are women with fine hair, possibly This is counterproductive ?!
-The device is already at 150 degrees hot well, I think (that's just my guess) that you should not over 200 degrees smooth hair, with me already enough 150-170 degrees and I really rebellious hair. So rather start from the "low" temperatures and prefer even walk through a strand take the hair to burn.
Otherwise, I can only express a strong buy recommendation!
