For me the real Christmas is the British Christmas, childhood memories oblige. I bought Nigella Christmas right out and I have not been disappointed. It is first a very beautiful book, very heavy, with a nice thick glossy paper. The layout is very neat and beautiful photos. In the center of the book, 70 pages with a red border are devoted to Christmas dinner itself, with very traditional dishes (roast turkey, stuffing, Christmas pudding, mince pies ...) but also more original ideas (ham, cake chocolate ...). There are also ideas for leftover turkey. The rest of the book is divided into 8 chapters: - The more the merrier (aperitifs, cocktails, sofas ...) - Seasonal support (soups, salads, sauces, accompaniments advance loans) - Come on over (simple and quick recipes) - Joy to the worlds (cookies and cakes) - All wrapped up: recipes offer (biscuits, jams, confectionery, canned ...) - A Christmas brunch for 6-8 - A bevy of hot drinks - Dr. Lawson prescribes: recipes for festive aftermath
Some ingredients are hard to find in France (including double cream), but 90% of the revenues are quite possible to realize after a visit to a good supermarket.
