Now for the battery itself: There is a 9-cell battery. This is higher than the standard 6-cell battery and built projects out beyond the unit itself. Note also that it is felt much more difficult than the original battery. The design capacity of the battery is indicated in my power manager under Arch Linux with 94 Wh. The battery appears, but with 95.1 Wh, apparently I've been lucky and caught a good specimen. Capacity well and good, but what about the end of the term, because that's the thing that matters at the battery. At this point I must say that I am blown away. The Thinkpad runs and runs and runs ... As is known, nothing can be the first charge to say about the real battery life because the battery needed yes some cycles until it has leveled off, but the battery life is now already the madness! Meanwhile, I'm on a single charge already in good 5 hrs. Running time and the battery is still at 33% of its remaining capacity. The remaining maturity is still good 3 hrs. Indicated (I hang a screenshot to the customer at pictures). During operation Wifi all the time on and the screen brightness one notch below the maximum brightness was adjusted. The term has been achieved, as already mentioned under Linux. On Windows can be as I have heard obtain tend even longer battery life, but I lack the experience here.
In summary: Who do not mind the greater weight and who want to make his Thinkpad X200 / 201 into a true long-distance runner, so it can withstand any Unitag who can safely access.
