With the first two Klaatu albums on one CD has BGO (noble) filled a supply gap, which can be however also pay well, which, now painted, EMI variant costing half. What does this disc? Well, almost the best that Klaatu have ever done, in addition, (something) better sound quality. The first in Europe with Klaatu titled, works represents more or less a sequence of the first Canadian singles represent a common thread may not be evident. From Beatles influenced songs, such as the hit "Calling Occupants ..." to typical 70s rock songs, everything is represented, only the last song "Little Neutrino" gives an idea of what the second album (Hope) is to be expected , With "Hope" Klaatu is a masterpiece succeeded to conditions of melancholy, almost a bit darker, mood concept album, an impression which is not least supported by the cover. Again sound the Beatles in some songs by ("Long live Politzania", "Hope"), however, but also the limits of the (British) are pierced classical, such as "The Loneliest Of Creatures" (with cannon-songs) or "Prelude ". Unfortunately we could not hold Klaatu this level, in the three subsequent albums they changed increasingly becoming mainstream, but just because of "Hope", this CD is definitely worthwhile. My conclusion therefore: BUY!
