Surround top - Bass flop

I was looking for (like with surround effect) to give a fuller sound for a system to my TV with occasional movie nights. A 5.1 system came for me wg. the many speakers and the clutter out of the question. Primary, I wanted to get more volume in the Sound (previously I had connected the TV via the stereo, which is no longer possible in the course of refurbishment in the living room). The small dimensions of the system have led me ultimately to buy. Fast delivery and everything was super packed. The Blue-ray player also makes a very good and sophisticated look, the speakers, however, are comparatively easy. The subwoofer with bass reflex tube back is made of simple plywood, which is also not varnished in the rear area and thus acts a bit cheap.
The surround effect to the device is generated impressive and conveys partly almost feel as if even speakers befänden behind. I did not think that this is possible in the form. So far so good. The sticking point is the subwoofer. It is not an active subwoofer and powerful bass you miss totally - of a butterflies in your stomach to mention. Other settings (ROCK / Games) was still the best, could not convince. So is at least for me to no cinematic experience. Much richer than the TV speakers, the sound was not unfortunately. Therefore, I have the plant also returned and look around for something with more sound volume by. Two stars from me it for the fast delivery, send the great surround effect and, although a bit slow reacting Player. That it is no longer is due to the fact that I did not expect anything else when it comes to bass and sound volume. Nevertheless, the system for one or the other may be useful.
