First, I had the "Zack II" ordered by outdoor fans. After I "II Zack" unfortunately could stow in any of our suitcases which, I've been looking for an alternative. In addition, I noticed on some other criteria that should meet the next beach shelter also. The "Zack II" I was too deep; you can hide it or backpacks (or similar) to throw back into the receiver, but the place was in my opinion still waste. In addition, the soil should be more robust. And of course, a more practical pack size.
One day before departure the "Quick Palm" arrived at us. 1x assembled and disassembled, packed and flown to the holiday. After nearly 2 weeks of practice I came to the following assessment:
Positives:
- Very quickly assembled and disassembled
- The windows are fitted higher than in other shells. This flies a not so fast the sand of a slight breeze into the tent. Hot air also accumulates not as fast in the upper part of the beach tent on. In addition, they can be closed with Velcro.
- Two (variable) large entrance openings. In conjunction with the two closed windows you by a fully closed tent and can move easily in it.
- The storage net under the "umbrella" of beach shelter was as practical. ;)
- The floor is robust, nothing has pushed itself.
Negatives:
- You can with two hands pull the tent up and with a kind of "Gossip movement" (no idea how to describe the more accurate, this is a building's video from the manufacturer on Youtube) lock. When the handles so well, it can happen that you bolt coming from above, the skin in the underlying palm. This can do neat hurt, but one happens normally only 1x - then you have learned. > .- The supplied tent pegs have no hold in the sand. At a beach shelter that should already be the case, in my opinion, when herring are included.
I would buy the product at any time, the price (39.90 including postage) is justified in any event.
