After carefully examining numerous tests in camera magazines, I decided to test 3 of the aforementioned cameras themselves and me to make my quasi "own image".
Nikon 1 - Sensor 13.2 x 8.8mm
I must confess that I can consistently positive reviews do not quite understand, or many simply do not have the opportunity to keep other system cameras in their hands, or to compare the photo results. For a direct comparison is not only the image sensor is significantly smaller than failed in the competition, but also as a result, the image quality (especially in low light and high ISO) no comparison. No question, the quality is good, but not more, once you 5N simultaneously viewing a photo, for example, a Sony NEX computer.
Positive I would note at this point the build quality, the negative incomprehensible complicated designed menu. Even simple functions were partially packed in sub-sub-menus. Here Nikon could rectify anything else with a firmware update safely.
Another shortcoming - the availability of additional lenses holds currently still very limited and it remains to be seen whether Nikon can unlock the competition here.
Panasonic Lumix G3 - Sensor 17.3 x 13 mm = Micro Four Thirds
The first thing I noticed compared to the competition - the camera is in eliciting really very fast. A delay by measuring and focusing is hardly noticeable, designed the menu useful (though not optimal for me).
The image quality is very good and that of the Nikon 1, but I must admit that I have the least tested this camera because it has a track has fallen too big for my taste, and the build quality does not make particularly good impression on me.
Sony NEX 5N - Sensor 23.4 x 15.6mm APS-C =
By far the largest camera sensor becomes noticeable in the quality of the photos. Not only in low light conditions, the NEX points, even in daylight the pictures appear more extensive in contrast and sharpness. I use as reference designs, among other things always grass / meadow, houses, people and my dog, and only the Sony camera has managed to approach (5d Mark2 a friend's Canon) at the presentation of a large SLR and reproduce all the details to the satisfaction.
The build quality is also very convincing, unfortunately, it has, however, also Sony failed to make the menu and all the buttons perfectly. Again some basic functions are illogical arranged and accommodated things like self-timer, or unnecessary flash functions in submenus.
In the end I keep this camera and am very happy today. Soon the optical viewfinder and a zoom lens to be purchased to my system package round.

No matter which you camera decide please keep in mind that it is in my review for my opinion that not must be your. The photo makes the end still the photographer and not the camera. And for this purpose you should really compare as a "tool" not only the camera but also all available lenses, because here all manufacturers have significantly rework - too small is currently the product line in order to satisfy all needs.
Second gripe with all manufacturer ... it's nice that the speed of all the cameras more and more increasing but much more important than the images per second is the number! What please bring me 60 frames per second if I can shoot 15 pictures in series?
