Since summer of 2014 I use Parallels 9 on a Macbook Pro 2014 and was thus always satisfied. The computer is stable, even if Windows is running in parallel. The performance is slightly, but is in the ballpark.
On Windows I use exclusively office and similar programs that I need professionally and for which there is no Mac version.
So when the news came shortly after purchase that for Yosemite will be no more support and the update of 9 to 10 is then essential, I was pretty annoyed. I think that's to say the least: not good. The update costs at least EUR 50, -.
Fortunately, I could now 9 update to 10. The update / upgrade went smoothly by hand.
The system is now in fact, much faster than before - whether they be the announced 50% I am unable to confirm conclusively - but could get there.
An upgrade from 9 to 10 is for occasional users of Windows is not necessary, however, increases the comfort considerably.
A star I pull from for the update policy.
