Ingenious entry for new Unheilig album. All that the intro "The Sea" want to "Grosse Freiheit", will love this track! Simply amazing !!! By listening to the siren piece fits perfectly with the cover.
Already at the first word of the Count and the then incipient music was clear to me that this CD will be simply stunning! Wow! What a start!

"Herzwerk"
Out tip!
Hart played, very interesting track that is reminiscent of one of the models from the Count: Rammstein! Typical, unfortunately else now very rare, Unholy sound!
I like it very much.

"As you were"
The obligatore catchy and the new single, which is certainly intended for one of the next gigs bei Carmen Nebel or in any ZDF Seniorenbespaßer broadcast.
Here an attempt is clearly to the success of "By Your Side" or "Born to live" to tie, perhaps to make it even sound like a sequel.
Here is the song, despite catchy melody, not convincing. Somehow you looking deeper - unholy-usual - Message. The chorus sounds to me also cribbed from Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" ...
A catchy tune is the song, despite my criticism yet!

"Days like gold"
Speaks especially people who certainly also visit one or the other Ü30 Party or are nearing midlife crisis. Unfortunately, without proper draft ...

"As we were" (feat. Andreas Bourani)
Typical track with which sooner or later all the radio auf'n bag goes. Definitely not my thing! "Schlager-heavy" Definitely!
That thing could have sing one of the "princes" with Gunther Emmerlich together ...

"Immortal"
The song, which determines every woman in midlife crisis from her husband - wishes never taken chat friend - sorry. Extremely cheesy ... you can hear but you do not ...
Definitely, this song sooner or later (by the great contract, the Count with RTL graduated) at "daughter wanted" recorded ...

"Tierra del Fuego"

Finally a faster track on this CD, which is reminiscent of former UH-albums. I like quite well. Is safe in a VOX holiday special on "Tierra del Fuego" verwurstet times ...

"City Lights"
The title song of the album is to clearly address a larger mass here. Unfortunately, far too soft flushed! Such titles were previously produced by the likes of Hannah Montana in the hit area.
Especially for the song that gives the disc its name, I would have expected more Unholy. Especially since the Graf yes in an interview (well rehearsed by the record company) said that this angebl. his most personal album would. Then why is it so meaningless?

"A good way"
See my review of "Immortal". In the second half can be here finally back (occasionally) to hear some typical darker UH-sounds in the background. The text could, however, perfectly sing "Michelle". In Earnest!

"A great life"
Again a total UH-atypical song, parents can play for their children to sleep. If I had a child, I would handle this with the song at least so.
In principle, a beautiful Message in a pretty nice song that appeals to a child.

"Burn To"
A song that reminds of former UH-times and stylistically on the last album. No revelation, but nice to listen to.

"Time Travel" (feat. Xavier Naidoo)
Typical, fully redundant, radio-track without draft. Already at the first "Klimper" seconds you can hear that it is the title of the "Xaver". The duet is definitely better than that with Bourani, but it is no longer "Unholy" and quite Schlager ... pardon - German pop-heavy.
To me, that song sounds also as though every singer record the vocals in various studios and let mix until later ...

"Life is Beautiful"
In principle, a fairly nice (dreamy sounding) song, reminiscent of some of the synth music from the 80s by Jan Hammer ("Miami Vice"). 40% also something "unholy" flows and makes the song definitely audible!

"Iron Man"

A start has been absolutely awesome! The best it has to offer this album! Would have been in the past "Rammstein" album such a track would have liked this also liked! Some of you really think you can hear Till Lindemann Rammstein or!
The song can be thought of "machine" as a (in a good way) cumbersome strong metal-heavy variant of the UH-classic! Really Good!

"Forget"
Too bad that the Count has apparently here again dropped slightly to calm. The listener gets a quieter tracks offered here. By the drums the song has something hit illustrative only again. Nevertheless, the piece belongs here as one of the better songs.

"The City"
Out tip!
A really successful (Intrum tales) Outro, the popular, not consistent on the album Unholy style.
Absolutely brilliant track and fully my thing!
Even if it is "only" instrumental, has the piece of music, if you listen closely, and the journey actually join in (hard to believe) a Message!

Conclusion of the album:

For me, it unfortunately weakest "Unholy" album. This was ultimately even without a hiatus of Count, who ran to the next by a concert and performance, unfortunately, to be expected.
Although there are some really ingenious tracks on it, but is there and press "Next" again on the button of the "early" Unholy fan. A common thread, which led through the songs, as with the other UH-albums, one seeks in vain, unfortunately ...

Very sad, dear Count! You tried with all his might as many sections of the population to respond. This reflects this album just too much!

I would not wish on your next album "The Dark of gullies" (or whatever), which hopefully will not again "passing" arises again softener duets with Bourani and Co.! How about times with a duet (if there really must be something) with Till Lindemann / Rammstein, Doro Pesch, etc. or just a new edition of your first album "Dreams & Illusions" which on eBay otherwise never for under 500.00 Euro is sold?

I never thought that I let go of times such a negative review of one of my favorite artists sooner or later ...
