Taken in the pliers

During my training, I worked with the pliers manufacturer. My first self-bought pliers were Knipex that I have today. The stripper-reviewed here was newly appointed, because I have my copy relocated somewhere and no longer found. When ordering, I was very surprised rediscover the pliers almost unchanged. Only the handles are now two colors. I swear on the Knipexzangen, I had in 30 years screws to date not a defect or failure. Only my polished Hazet tool tops the red pliers.

The Knipex wire stripper is a very simple but very effective tool. Sure, there are now the "automatic" strippers, but the Knipex is something conceived by simply awesome to use and durable. In addition, the purchase price entirely in the frame and also for the hobby is affordable.
The Funtkionsprinzip is easy to see through. By means of a knurled screw, the insulation displacement diameters are adjusted. A second counter wheel also allows the detection. Two mutually Asked V blades cut so damage to the insulation without the cable. So fast is a harness, for soldering, prepared for assembling the connectors or other cabling. The pliers are pleasantly easy to handle, which is a big advantage especially with respect to the "automatic" all-rounders. She has only a few items and is hardly susceptible to failure. Every now and then a drop of oil into the joint, the tool does not need more.

My conclusion: far too many words for such a simple and well-functioning tool. 5 stars would have been enough.
