Hi, The lens is not a new one, and tons of reviews are already out there. I will just share my thoughts. Built Quality: The lens has a higher than average built quality, with its metal mount, and therefore good quality plastic. There is kind of hood included and it is a useful one. I can not imagine this one to last for 20 years, but It Should live for Higher than 5 years. Optical quality: Compared with my other lenses, I see the picture quality to be very good from 70-200, and then it drops from 200 -300 mm. At 250mm it can shut Produces nice pictures. This is the case when it is stopped down at least 1 stop. Wide open I did not like the photos. The pictures have good resolution, but the contrast is not very high. A bit of postprocessing can boost the final pictures. Functionality: The lens is not very heavy for a zoom, and the zoom ring is working well. These make the handling easy. The focus ring is handy, but it is not very damped. Autofocus is really slow and loud, so it is difficult to be used for a moving target. There is a limit on the focus lens Which Decreases the minimum focus range from 1.5m to 0.95m. It works just from 180mm to 300mm and let you have a kind of macro picture with the highest ratio of 2: 1.
Es gibt auch 6 years guaranty and with this price tag, it gives very high value for the money. I think if you can not afford the better Pentax 55-300mm lens, this is very valuable buy.
