I use the lens with the NX300, for I also have the 16 mm pancake, the 18-55 mm 50-200 mm zoom lens and the Standardkitobjektiv.
Reason for the acquisition was that I did not want to lug around more 3 lenses with me when I go on vacation, and of course the fantastic aperture of 1: 2.0-2.8. This allows good pictures with slow shutter speed even at modest light take. That was really the main reason I reluctant Scan with flash.
As the focal length is 16-50 mm, I can now leave the 16mm pancake at home, which is another advantage (restriction: indoor shots with flash, see below).
The fact that the pictures look great and the auto focus works extremely fast, was here to read already, although I can honestly see no difference for even good Standardkitobjektiv in landscape photos.
I have been employed in the lens rather dusty climes, especially in South Africa and Namibia. Which reminds me night part is noticed, which was not mentioned.
The lens is advertised as dust and splash proof, that's absolutely correct, however, comes in sandy areas to lightly sand between the rubber sleeves (which for the Zoom and Manual Focus). And the housing Although this sand does not cause functional impairment and also to eliminate, it crunches when zooming, however unpleasant.
Another disadvantage is that you can forget the flash on the NX300 with this lens. There is always a long shadow from the lens to see in the photos. I am glad that I have my 16mm prime lens just for indoor shots.
Positive I feel the quality workmanship and the scratch resistance of the housing and the lens hood. I would still recommend a 72 mm UV filter in front of the lens, as it on the one hand the lens protects against damage and secondly facilitates cleaning.
Due to the mentioned minuses I forgive good 4 stars.
