Looking for a wide-angle for my Pentax K30 I am always met with these two lenses. Firstly, the Tamron 10-24mm F / 3.5-4.5 SP and the Sigma 10-20mm F / 3.5 EX. Admittedly, these two lenses priced do not have much to do with each. The Sigma is at least 250 more expensive. With two manufacturers but I have very good experiences. That's why I have to decisively me to give me two lenses of own impression. This much at that Sigma was better by a mile processed. Also, the ultrasonic motor on auto focus falls on pleasant. However, the Tamron is not worse than the other known processes Tamron lenses. After the first impression it went then make to the images. Quick much on the colors on the Sigma were slightly stronger than the Tamron. Even in backlit scenes had to struggle a bit more the Tamron. On the PC then the evaluation of the images. The distortion at the edge hällt Also at kuzer focal length lenses in both borders. Wide flat. But again, the brighter colors of the Sigma were striking. The sharpness of the images was in almost all apertures and focal lengths at Sigma significantly better.
Conclusion: Against the Sigma Objekiv the Tamron has no chance. It simply lacks color, sharpness and processing. Of course, the price difference is however already clear. If that Sigma is too expensive, but here gets an acceptable wide angle for relatively good money. Price / performance ratio. Who knows, but the Sigma is the Tamron probably not happy.
