Yes, yes, that was anno `91, death metal sent to us all plattzuwalzen, Death / Obituary / Pestilence / Morgoth and company competed for the most brutal sound in the genre, you grunted on new paths and seemingly every month, there was another musical horizon shift. Still far were the Frickeleskapaden subsequent outputs, schwehr and dull it had to be, pace, yes - but not an end in itself, basses were required! And everywhere, so we're on the subject, I Obituary '92 saw live in Berlin and had the pleasure to experience the grim-stomping live sound, man was `ne snare! Looked wie`n soup kettle when Komiss! Guitars tuned down 5 semitones, grabbed the microphone and off we went in the Death Metal Poser heaven! Obituary dominated this free program by excelance and were rightly a top act early / mid 90s. And all this seems to 1: 1 to have been banned and burned onto vinyl / CD, Cause of Death is the culmination of all musical creativity of this exceptional band. The following albums are in my opinion only failed copies of this publication, even more so ... completely unnecessary. The fluent atmospheric transitions between tracks underline the consistently located at a high level and make compositions Cause of Death to lead the players, drums and bass pump neat and the guitar sound is unique !!! The spartan held texts (?) - Skillfully geröchelt / grunting / ge-what I still remember everything, leave enough space for the tasteful overall impression of the songs, not to mention the magnificent Leads. In short, this disc has condemned much atmosphere! Obituary- Cause of Death is compulsory for Florida death metal fans listen to all others for a must!
