Tarnished impression

An eternity I have occupied myself with various online TV models. In the end it should be above model (variant 42 inches). As a very demanding user with LG-experiences the expectation was very high.

That should the device can => The can:

- Satellite tuner with Unicable support (single-cable solution) => YES

- Use of the media libraries of ER transmitter / HBB TV => ONLY POSSIBLE internal tuner

The Positive: The image is impeccable, even if the brightness in the corners of the unit supplied is a little weaker in white image (42 "+ 47" variant). This is to be lt. Can auskorrigieren other reviews, but also interferes not everyone off if you fail to do so.
Who does not find its optimal image settings with this device is your own fault. There are many configuration options but also selectable presets.

I wanted to get rid of the external satellite receivers, now it hangs again. As I might have somewhat high expectations that will not have any.

The additional Magic Remote I think is overrated. External devices can indeed control mM but after quite cumbersome. I would rather take 2 remote controls or the additional buttons on the BD player remote control to TV control. For general settings as well as for "SmartTV" the Magic Remote, however, is very convenient.

On the Smart TV features I can do without. For a library, for example, I have now but back to your PC - or buy me at the end but still a Satreceiver who supports.

If this device is recommended? Yes (limited). One could also choose any cheap device with good image, external satellite receivers, an external sound system. But without 3D because the passive 3D LG is in this price class (currently) without competition.

Previously LG devices were quality, sophisticated products. That can no longer lump sum write - despite acclaimed WebOS (because I want the other firmware SmartTVs not know). Oh, for WebOS subject: It announces itself WebOS2 what ev some improvements could bring.. Previously wanted / could LG (also lt. Support) the 2014er TV generation not equip it. Lt. Current press release is in the 2 JH 2015 now though but WebOS2 appear (in modified form) for 2014er models. Whether this will really be the case remains to be seen, but there is hope.
