I was very touched by "The Isle of Forgotten" and I therefore want to go further. The thread of memories is another thing but the writer through his characters, we discover Thessaloniki and human and religious diversity that this city even Greece, has lost a little over dramatic events of late XIX and XX current century. It's a good book, dedicated to the passage of time and the ability of people to do with their individual and collective tragedies.
