He is Cormorant Strike, a private detective everything from girlfriend he has just left, silver, which is as rare as its customers, and even private one foot, he lost in Afghanistan, during a hard and uncertain war. It is Robin, the interim he has committed for the week, which is not reasonable given the state of its finances. But the miracle happens: a new customer! It was John Bristow, brother Lula Landry (you know Lula, of course, the supermodel who committed suicide there three months, all the press reported). But his brother does not believe in suicide, and asks to resume Cormoran police investigation, with a compelling argument: he offers to pay twice! Cormoran therefore begins to work, and is immersed in the London fashion stylists and their excesses, nightclubs and their VIP rooms, luxury boutiques, the rich and the super-rich who knew Lula all of which have something to hide behind their extravagant lifestyle. Cormorant is assisted in its investigation by Robin, who reveals a very effective worker and not afraid initiatives. Between them they discover the truth, which will appear in successive unveilings throughout the 464 pages. Jai liked the first detective novel written by you know who Robert Galbraith, of course. With Cormorant and Robin, Robert gives us two very endearing and very different characters from each other, which makes it all the more interesting duo. Their travels take us to London and its different neighborhoods, the luxurious Mayfair in seedy hotels Hammersmith. "The Cuckoo's Calling" is a very controlled novel, well built; the characters are fair and credible, and London is a very attractive backdrop. I hope the author will give us a sequel to those adventures; it seems he likes sagas.
