If you enjoyed the first volume of the adventures of "Gentlemen Bastards", no doubt that you will find with delight in this new installment of the peregrinations and John Locke. Because of their "light" disagree with the mages Karthain, Locke and Jean fled in the prosperous city of Tal Verrar; like Camorr, Verrar Tal is a very interesting city comprised of scattered islands and dominated by colorful characters, a military dictator, a clique of merchants and Shark the owner of the largest house in the town games . The pace of the adventure is very rhythmic with many twists and Scott Lynch using the method already experienced in the first volume, many flashbacks that are explained as and measurement history. Many of the adventures of the novel takes place at sea, part I really liked because it describes in minute detail and always humor marine life on a sail boat. Why did I put that four instead of five in my criticism, simply because of the end of history where different plots are resolved (should I say shipped) to a few dozen pages, which m ' left a sense of unfinished business behind. This detracts little flat in the high quality of heroic fantasy novel, fine, subtle and humorous.
