The album of maturity

Wounded Rhymes (CD)

Customer Review

Attracted by the title "I follow rivers" (why not say it, even if it will make conventional and "general public"), I started to buy and listen to the previous album (see my review on this).
What a change here over three years ago! A real transformation.

The voice seems to have gained much more mature, more confident, more mature, more "distant" too, which does not displease me (even if found, at times, its purity, its fragility and its original authenticity).
The music remains pleasant, like the previous album, although the tones are different (this ensures a good turnover, little evidence for an artist usually when changing from one album to another) .

The album is a bit darker, less conducive to daydreaming (although ...) but still pleasant to listen. With a real individual character and a real diversity of sounds and melodies.
Note some intonations to Lana Del Rey under 6. Wanted? This does not take away the identity of the singer, which has its own unique style, making the charm. And a vocal range more diverse than in the first album, very inspired and affirmed.

A full album, original, diverse and having a nice unit at a time.
Very pleasant.
An artist to discover, which we hear talk again soon, I think.
