As I with the previous Manfrotto Tripod Bag of (produced by Kata), was very satisfied (see review), so I looked for a bigger version. With mounted gearhead, I needed at least a length of 88cm. Because since the purchase of the old pocket (MBAG70) have passed a few years, it surprised me that was not changed the collection. The bag is no longer dark gray but black with red zipper (somehow fits to the L-lenses from Canon ;-)). Overall, the bag looks very classy!
The bag is extraordinarily high-quality workmanship and functionally very well equipped! The seams are stung very clean, the zipper is very solid. The substance is intended to be ballistic nylon, although I do not know where the difference is normal.
Manfrotto typical or rather typical Kata, the zipper runs along the entire length and encircles the head of the bag. This serves the tripod easy to remove from the top without the entire length to open, like a sort of quiver.
The entire bag is thickly padded, this will increase the head again. The 'cap' is made of solid, almost inflexible, rigid foam with embossed Manfrotto logo. The head is wider than the rest, providing greater support heads such. B my Getriebeneiger 405, adequate space.
The bag MBAG90PN offers two carrying systems. On the one hand the classic adjustable shoulder strap, on the other hand a handle, but who in my case two disadvantages. The handle has a small sewn Manfrotto logo that is so unfavorable sewn that it gets between the finger and is unpleasant. And then there's my problem with my very lightweight carbon tripod and the very serious gearhead. This proves, with respect to the gravity, unfavorable. The bag tends forward, but that does not matter in a heavier aluminum tripod and normal three ways Eiger or ball.
Inside, there is a small pocket for accessories. The bottom (smaller diameter than the head) is also very well padded and again has a sewn-on handle.
Conclusion: A very sturdy bag that you hate on the firm ground. A strong buy recommendation from me.
