Unfortunately there was for the assembly instructions .... you need then just a little longer ...
for my use, this involves attaching a ipad 1 to an elliptical machine, the tripod was only limited use .... either the iPad 1 too heavy for this construct or I have assembled something wrong (which I do not think so ) ... anyway bends the tripod in all directions from the iPad can fall out and at worst is over ipad. I've solved the problem as I have also attached the gooseneck with lace .... but does not look very nice.
