This second volume will not be able to enthuse me. He first was impossible to feel any empathy for the character of Jean-Paul Valley. I think he becomes arrogant and brutal way too fast. The evolution of behavior is moved too quickly, so much so that one has the impression of having missed something. All this should have been more balanced, more progressive.
Then, the graphics do not enchant me, this is the least we can say. In the first volume, there was strong talent: Aparo, Nolan and Breyfogle. Here, designers are increasing and they are not necessarily the best. If Aparo still draws a little and Klaus Janson is in great shape the time of a single episode, we must unfortunately do with Brett Blevins (the worst designs of volume by far), Mike Manley and Sal Velluto. Even Nolan seems less inspired and treats its least squares and I have not found qu'Aparo itself was in top form.
I found the stretch of uninspired screenplay, between the arrival of a new character without interest (Anarky) and developments around the convalescence of Bruce Wayne, who takes a new direction (but hey, you have to do well live the character). All this already feels filling and scatters too much for my taste.
Finally, from a very personal point of view, see Bruce Wayne shattered and fell and almost see yield the cellar-bat to Jean-Paul Valley, well ... I must admit that it hurts a little.
Certainly, the final fight between Batman and Bane is worth its weight in gold but it fails to recover the remnant.
Disappointed by this second volume, I passed on the third and fourth but have nevertheless read the fifth, I have, against all odds, appreciated.
