The beginning of my love affair rum

It's exciting to see that you can advance in rum with comparatively little money use in the forefront of quality. Botucal, Zacapa and El Dorado are all to be had for ~ 30 and make already represents the zenith of rum. Of course you can in terms of quality even a little sit on since then melts but the value for money very quickly and is only for absolute Rumkenner interesting.

Those who do not so far demonstrated capacity to drive in this category Connoisseur and with Havana Club 3/7, Old Pascas or like rum (of course, is by no means bad, but simply has a different application!) Has been satisfied, is the first glass of this 12- El Dorados year be overwhelmed - at least to me it was at that time that way. There's not a bit of alcohol taste, zero bitterness, no approach by scratching or the like, which might deter the connoisseur - this is pure luck, pure enjoyment, which runs down like oil. A fantastic Sweet but not sugary-sticky, but a clear, pure sweetness, initiates a broadband of flavors in the mouth. Even the smell but - there would be air fresheners with this smell, I'd hang it in my car.

This shows: Rum is more than cheap fuel, more than baking ingredient or shot in grog or mulled wine. From this quality Rum is one of the tastiest spirits that you can imagine, and can even be made by me so beloved Bourbons far behind. And in a cocktail of the El Dorado 12 then brings a depth, balance and volume in the drink, that the question of whether one can ever vermixen so a tip spirit, no longer presents itself - you are no longer in the future with less satisfied in Cocktail. Just try a "Roosevelt cocktail".

1 3/4 oz El Dorado 12
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth (eg Martini Extra Dry)
1/4 oz orange juice
1/4 oz sugar syrup

A very nice, a little squat bottle with a glued-on sealing wax emblem, cork and romantic label complements the presentation. The box is discreet and elegant, now serves me as a noble decoration.
