As Streisand fan and connoisseur, I've heard a lot of great shots of Barbra Streisand. Yentl is for me but a very special album (like the film, moreover,). Usually I find in LPs half the shots very well, the rest mostly less well. In this album there is no song that not gefaällt with. The special thing about this song is the mixture connected to the east slightly tinged style old Jewish prayers from the typical Streisamd sound. The album is musically for me the most interesting thing of all Streisand albums. None of today modern musicals I find such a perfect harmony between action and music. Action and music sin an inseparable unity, so the film is also highly recommended. Today there are to see so many zusammengestümperte musicals, this is none of these concoctions.
