Stephen Hunter is one of my absolute favorites and Pale Horse Coming is one of his better books. I'm partial to Bob Lee Swagger, but this book is the best deed features Earl as the protagonist. Hunter is great at developing characters who are complex and even tortured with internal conflicts. Definitely worth your time.
