Why with WebPlus X8 (16.0.1.21 - 64-bit) am absolutely satisfied, is easily explained:
- It's great, I find that now are embeddable fonts. Spare me converting and is good for search engines.
- The Slider Studio is much more concise and easy to use. Unrivaled!
- Super Convenient The online Resource Manager, which did not exist before!
- Especially useful the possibility of safe and easy web backups (! As a package of resources () and fonts ()!)
- Incredibly handy un timesaving if you copied a lot of text: inserting text as unformatted text
- Very useful, the new task list that I do not want to miss!
- Sensational: the image magnifying glass with panning and zoom! This really makes what her!
Plus, there's much more gimmicks and nice gimmicks, maybe not everyone needs, such as the possibility of soft scrolling, the new filter, widget-Export etc. - because I know so far only what I'll eventually use times.
But there is also a deterioration:
The possibility of importing from sites no longer exists at X8. Worked quite excellent (with a clean HTML code) and had to be only minimally reworked. After I have WP X7 still installed, not all too big problem, but inconvenient. Import with X7 - processed with WP X8. Have in the last few weeks about 60 pages created with Dreamweaver "converted". However, a drawback for those who do not have WebPlus X7.
The biggest drawback for me is that it (unlike WebSite X5 and MAGIX web designers 10, I own both, but do not use) are no German or German Community Forums. While there is an English-serif Forum - but just unfortunately none in German!
Nevertheless - I do not know any more flexible than Serif WebPlus web editor - and may the version X8 only recommend. If you want to create only simple allerdinmgs pages, put them the version X7 (or even X6) actually wholeheartedly. From the creation of a shop with a web editor I would anyway strongly advise! I have no shop - but a friend has tormented for months - until he is then switched to a shop system, which he could then embed (via WebSite X5). But he has now switched to WebPlus X8 - and totally thrilled! The reason for the switch-over was that neither website nor the web designer from MAGIX with the large amount of data (it operates as a counselor I-Site) came clear ....
