Grace Under Pressure (rmst) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Rush have - which is likely to be quite clear - as yet with any album somehow disappointing when and also have not really released a bad song. Since the '84 masterpiece "Grace Under Pressure" is no exception. Just like two years ago are in "signal" keyboards more prominent than the guitar and the songs are kept very tight (10 minutes and longer songs you Search here so vain). But synths must not sound inevitably corny and cheesy as this 8 songs deutlichst prove.
With instinctive certainty the guys cut to Geddy Lee the listener a catchy tune for the next in inclined ear canals, which settle immediately and will likely linger forever in there. Add to that Neil Peart's usual genial texts that have failed here as bleak as never before or since. Pain, despair, fear of the future and the like processed the drum genius here in the 8 exception songs (with the possible exception of "The Body Electric" and "Kid Gloves" both of which are not to be taken too seriously). By contrast, each would like darkly Gothic album Eitel sunshine.
In summary, therefore, that Rush with this album not only (as usual) have done everything right, but wrote 8 songs for eternity. I do not know how many times I've heard it in the 2 years in which it is in my possession, but it is addictive!
