The Bluetooth headset

I had long been searching for a suitable Bluetooth headset.
I drive a lot of bike, which is why I need some cable freedom. Since I was previously owned by a Bowers & Wilkins P5, in my opinion the best mobile headset ever, and unlike the Beats plastic bombers from high quality materials, I needed a headset that plays at least in the same league. The P5 I was actually completely satisfied, only the plug on the Iphone was an absolute misconception. Due to its elongated shape, I had every 2-3 months a cable break and had me for almost 20 Buy with a new remote control jack cable. A significant cost factor which could be eradicated with a bent jack if you wanted to.
Sonically, there is in my opinion no better headphones, and to the straight to the point, the ZIK is definitely very close!

Before I finally ordered the Zik me, I've tried the Bluetooth portfolio of Sennheiser and have to say I was rarely disappointed. For more information, in my respective reviews.

The Zik is manufactured extraordinary well, a very elegant design and various settings has as far as the sound. Using a free app can be different equalizer adjust what I however do not use, because I want to have the music as naturally as possible reproduced, as well as set the bandwidth of the stage. This means you can define the angle of the speakers from 180 ° to 45 °, so that one has the feeling that the music would continue from the front or from the side.

The touchpad on the right earphone works very well, but is not so sensitive to touch that frequently run out of music, if, for example wearing a hood. Only the heavy weight makes itself felt if, for example puts his head in his neck. Then the headphones threatens to slip off the head, but this is less simple than it feels.

The noise canceling function is also quite good, but not all noises are reliably filtered for a ride or similar But if it is quite suitable. In general, the headphones by the function are somewhat louder than without. The bass is a little heavier.
With switched Noise Cancelling the battery is, however, very quickly empty. After almost five hours the Zik and the breath goes out then. You then connect the supplied phone cable, unfortunately, you have only a very low noise level and an unsatisfactory sound experience. So better always ensure a full battery. As far as I know, you can purchase a replacement battery, but it is beyond my knowledge, whether this also gets a separate charging station. If not, you have to charge both batteries at the headset, which is time consuming and annoying, because then you can not use it.

What really bothers me is the fact that you have to start on the device when you first connect to the Iphone, or other device, always the music. The Play function on the touchpad works then not immediately, but only after one start on the sending device. That annoys me personally, because I am of the opinion that, with a device in the price range has everything to be perfect. That's why I'll probably return the headphones promptly and ask for a new or repaired copy.
Due to this shortcoming, I subtract a star, otherwise I am excited about the headphones.
Only the relatively short battery life and the rapid discharge when not in use push me a little bitter, but that is now times the price you pay if you want to do without cable location.
