Light smears of course you have to make in a dark room, the image is a bit noisy. But even a normal living room lighting is sufficient for good image quality.
A very positive is also the recording quality of the built-in stereo microphone. Conversations, announcements in the station or even very loud vocal performances of children (at the pain threshold for the Ears hard) bring the microphone out of the socket. My old Panasonic DX-100 would be there probably dropped out without readjustment.
Another advantage is the possibility to exchange the battery pack with commercial batteries AA. Very often I had to do in my camcorders from experience that the batteries were not charged enough in the past. That can not happen here. Batteries you get to emergency at any kiosk.
The only downside, if there ever is one, then, is the lack of opportunity for inserting an external memory card.
Tragic but that is really only when shooting large family gatherings or in the 14-day vacation. In these cases, one is forced to have a PC at hand, to unload the camera.
Conclusion: uneineschränkte buy recommendation.
