This review refers to the camera LogiLink Model "WC0009" with firmware version 03.01.03
Positive:
+ Sufficiently extensive configuration menu and decent range of functions (in Internet Explorer)
+ Provide useful picture compared to many other cameras often only VGA resolution (640x480)
+ Convenient control / positioning of PTZ camera by direct clicking on the image (in IU)
+ Included a wall bracket is included
Negatives:
- The maximum length of the camera's password is 8 characters and can only contain the characters AZ, az, 0-9, and -_, included, longer passwords and passwords with special characters are not allowed! A potential security risk!
- No full function support by about HTML5, full function of the camera only with an ActiveX plug-in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox in the QuickTime plugin is required
- The camera already on a day with low light in the infrared mode, B / W images are only delivered
- There is no way the IR mode manually around or off, as there is no possibility the image brightness and resolution directly adjust on the home page of the camera
- The microphone is too quiet, even at maximum sensitivity
- At resolutions of 1280x720 and low in daylight mode, the image quality in MJPEG mode is better than with H.264 (in the same image settings in the Modes H.264 and MJPEG), which was supposed to be the other way, the H.264 Encoder used seems so not to be the best.
- The H.264 mode At resolutions higher than 1280x720 only supported but not MJPEG
Adapt partly strong color variations in daylight mode and no way the RGB values -
- The address and the path to the Samba server can contain only 32 characters
- Motion detection (Motion Detection) seems to work only in daylight mode, but not in the IR mode
- Pictures / videos from an SD card in the camera can only be deleted individually and having to even be doubly confirmed
- The effective resolution or picture quality looks subjectively not necessarily to 3 megapixels, the mode "2048x1536 (QXGA)" shows only slightly more detail in the image as the mode "MJPEG 1280x720 / High Quality", only the image section shown is greater at 2048x1536
- Snapshot (photos or stills) by Motion Dection are possible only at 1280x720 or smaller resolution
- Snapshot in JPG format were incorrectly saved me with the file extension .avi
The hardware of the LogiLink WC0009 model seems to be identical to the Edimax PT-31W!
When the camera software, the manufacturer must necessarily significantly rework!
Unfortunately I can not recommend this IP camera and have them sent back!
