As my personal favorite album so far "The Dead Eye" was (and is) so I could still look forward to the new plant.
The Single Unseen liked the prescanning finally right away.
After the disc is now 5 times fought my ears, I dare the album to miss a 4 star rating, although I am sure that the development is not yet complete.
(A 3 would hitherto certainly not enough and a 5 too much ...)
The best tracks for me are:
- DISAPPEAR (good chorus, slightly epic, beautiful guitar accompaniment)
- UNSEEN (single, easiest to digest, developed catchy)
Most of the tracks I would classify to date in the upper midfield, such as:
- THEM (Dolving would cry, so it might be construed in an old Haunted CD fit)
- Motionless (also faster for "The Unseen" conditions song where Dolving his cry organ unpacks again)
- The opener Never Better or the southern-oriented NO GHOST (Down ..?)
The weak points of the disc would be "maybe":
- THE SKULL
- ALL ENDS WELL (much too pop, Choergesang and "ooh-ooh tooting" is me then too violently weichgespült)
Overall, a disc with many facets, strong and weaker moments, shouting and (mostly) depressive vocals (sometimes chanting), a lot of variety and some surprises (just listen to the end of "the Skull").
This album is the fan-bearing columns and thus have "the Haunted" must certainly be expected. I for one can live well with the album, but I hear a lot of different ways / directions of rock, metal and HC.
As a pure thrash fan I would the disc but certainly do not want to specify ...
