Nearly nine months have passed since the second series of The Chronicles of Dragonlance Holysofts appeared. Now it is different difficult for the listener, depending on their level of knowledge, to find re-enter in the story: Fans of the fantasy novel series will quickly remember back to many details, entanglements and characters and rejoice, re-immerse in the fantastic world can. The normal radio play listeners who did not really internalized the backgrounds and history probably heard for the first time, here barely come and many have forgotten in the long period, so that some actions seem rather incomprehensible. That's a shame, because the acoustic implementation is very well done, and the screenplay is convincing: The story can score with dynamic changes, a number of exciting scenes and a successful story arc, the heroes side by more depth, nor imposes one or another test, they must master. In addition, even the weave of good and evil, of battles and peace, from threats, wins and losses a typical high-fantasy story so that can convince impressed and with creativity. If only the barrier to entry for non-connoisseurs of submission would be so high ... As production apparently but rather is aimed at fans of the substance, a good evaluation is no obstacle, because they are likely to feel well-served by good production.
Tolpan Barefoot, who belongs to the brave heroes Group is well implemented by Hannes Maurer with his expressive and unusual voice and can thus continue to set accents. Torsten Michaelis speaks Carmeron, sounding again very distinctive and hard, especially in the dramatic fight scenes he is impressive and exudes a powerful aura. Gerald paradise as narrator can still impress with its calm and penetrating voice and skillfully leads and atmospherically through the plot. Other speakers include, among others, Dirk Hardegen, Frank Beautiful and Raimund Krone.
As mentioned above, the musical realization is very good, atmospheric sounds with classical instruments provide a dense atmosphere, which is the entire term presence and also often stands in the foreground. The diverse and striking sounds that are used opulent, provide dramatic and dynamic, dress each scene an impressively.
The cover is held back in the classic fantasy style, but offers more detailed drawings. A mighty dragon, the courageous hero opposes, against the backdrop of a beautiful snow scene brings the mood of the radio play to the point. For the rest of the equipment has clearly subsided, next track list and the usual details and some of advertising is only a summary of the recent events to find.
Conclusion: Well implemented, but still plenty of difficult to understand for non-experts of the substance. The released Ryhtmus contributes even at the one could be to listen to the story, for the distances where the consequences seem too long.
