So, now some time has already passed since I wrote my first report. I think that some supplements can not hurt:
- We are now 2 software updates androidwear further, essential but in my opinion does not happen. After all - it updates come in relatively short time intervals, which can not be said for my android Iphones ;-)
- As an alternative to Google Music can fill the Sony SmartWatch now on the Walkman app. Really comfortable, I do not think that, but what is in my view the cumbersome handling of playlists with the Walkman app.
- My highlight: "Runkeeper" mW is the first real Fitnessapp who now self-sufficient läuft- on the clock How do I find it does quite well.
- Sony fitnessapp "Livelog" now works
- Charging the clock I found initially lugubrious and fiddly. Solving the actual clock from the bracelet that goes ratzfatz, but that is absolutely no problem. From my thumbs up for the charging process, the also very fast (30 minutes) can be performed. The battery life has settled down with me to about 2 days, unless I use the GPS function since it is significantly shorter (RunKeeper swallows me 10% per 30 minutes)
- There are now probably a steel bracelet for fashion lovers among us. I am satisfied with the silicone band. The clock continues to see like new, provided you can even walk every now and then water over it.
My Conclusion:
I'm still happy and still believe that the smartphone is much more possible. Hopefully you can eventually use the wireless feature (as my main smartphone currently playing an iPhone). The extra bit of functionality (GPS), I prefer the more "style" of competitors.

ORIGINAL REVIEW from 11/06/2014
I was just curious about the Sony SmartWatch 3. To date, had not actually irritated me smart watches, for they had only an extended screen for smartphone. But when I read the specs of this clock, I was curious. Waterproof? Offline hear music? GPS?
If this is the opportunity finally to be able to record without his mobile feats while jogging?
So I got it some time ago reserved (an exception not from Amazon) and 3 days ago she came also. After the first experiences I dare now to write an initial report.
So first shortly the highlights:
+ Design (yes I like it)
+ GPS
+ Listen to music offline work (you have to know how)
+ Waterproof (try!)
+ Performance (stuttering does nothing)
o Duration
o Bracelet (looks great, wears well, but attracts dirt magically)
o the Android operating system wear (does not have a lot of potential, want to be called much does it yet or not optimal)
o Display
- The operating instructions (there are not, have no reasonable Manual found online)
In Lang:
I. Equipment
The clock is beautifully packaged in a Schneewittchensarg except the clock is just a very short micro USB cable and a Quick Start Guide, which does not deserve the name, in the delivery. Unfortunately, long everything is not self-explanatory. How do you get the GPS up and running, or even transferred to music on the clock, we must find the net. A little tip:
GPS log offline 1. currently works (as 6:11.) With the Google app My Tracks. Since the usual suspects such as runtastic only have to follow suit
2. Music is automatically drawn to the clock, if you set the corresponding checkbox in the settings to Google Music. It will then attempt to transfer all locally stored on the smartphone title. Are too many, the latest title will be dubbed. That's right, a direct influence on the choice of music, there is not currently.
II. Start-up
No Problem. Android wear invite to your mobile. Connect via Bluetooth clock. The rest goes automatisch- at least on my Sony Z1 Compact.
Oh, remember the android wear exclude when using the Stamina mode. otherwise you wonder how I ever why the SmartWatch is in offline mode when your phone is in standby ;-)
Charging should be quite soon. But then comes the Micro USB port for use. Practically, that one can use his usual cable and supporting devices, but it is a real fumbling to plug in the cable. 'M Curious how long will the closure.
III. Display
I find OK but not brilliant, initially had the feeling that it's a little yellowish. Meanwhile, I am used to it.
IV. Battery Life
I honestly expected more. More than a day I have at admittedly intensive use (GPS, listening to music) is not from the clock rausgeholt. This morning at 6 clock taken from the plug, now I'm at 48%. I hope there is still more.
IV. Comfort
Nothing to complain about belongings off the clock is light beautifully. Fits with me under the shirt sleeve and does not contribute too much on.
V. Android Wear
A real construction site. I think elsewhere can better read everything that still does not go or is inconsistent. OK google ie the voice control I can not begin so much in public, but I am of them also on the smartphone not a fan. The wiping gestures work well, some I find it but not intuitive. Oh in this connection I want to mention that the SmartWatch 3 does have an opportunity to voice input, but not for speech output. A speaker does not exist.
Apps that support the unprecedented features of the Sony SmartWatch 3, there are hardly any.
Too bad I find especially that Sony has not even managed to make your Livelog app to start compatible. If you want to count steps, you have to make do fit with Google. Most eagerly I wait but that one of the big run apps like Endomondo runtastic or the GPS clock support
CONCLUSION:
I'm looking forward to accompany SmartWatch when growing up. A certain frustration tolerance heard but certainly one of them. So I hope for a lot of updates that bring new features, or enhance existing. I'm curious to see if the clock is really as can be read at various points in the network, including Wi-Fi has. Android supports not wear namely. If so, this could be a blast feature.
